Stem Cell Therapy
How do Umbilical Cord Derived Stem Cells help?
Tissue Regeneration and Repair:
Umbilical cord derived stem cells have shown remarkable potential in regenerating and repairing damaged tissues. They can differentiate into various cell types, including neurons, cardiomyocytes, osteoblasts, and hepatocytes, among others. This versatility makes them invaluable in treating conditions such as spinal cord injuries, joint injuries/arthritis, heart disease, bone defects, and liver disorders.
Regulation of the Immune System:
Another significant advantage of umbilical cord derived stem cells is their ability to modulate the immune system. These cells possess properties that allow them to regulate immune responses and reduce inflammation in the body. This characteristic makes them a potential treatment option for autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis, where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues.
Neurological Disorders:
Umbilical cord derived stem cells hold great promise in the field of neurology. These cells can help repair damaged neural circuits, stimulate the production of new neurons, and enhance synaptic connections. As a result, they offer potential therapeutic solutions for conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke.
Anti-Aging Effects:
Research suggests that umbilical cord derived stem cells possess anti-aging properties. They have the ability to replenish and rejuvenate aging cells, thereby slowing down the aging process. This characteristic opens up possibilities for using these stem cells in cosmetic treatments and anti-aging therapies.
Umbilical cord derived stem cells represent a revolutionary breakthrough in regenerative medicine. With their abundant supply, ethical sourcing, and remarkable therapeutic potential, these cells offer hope for millions of patients suffering from various diseases and conditions. As further research and clinical trials progress, the full potential of umbilical cord derived stem cells will undoubtedly be realized, ushering in a new era of medical treatments and advancements.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What is the advantage of umbilical derived stem cells over harvesting my own stem cells? In a head to head study, Umbilical Cord Stem Cells(UCST) are more effective in treating injuries and diseases than Bone Marrow Stem Cells. UCST are younger, healthier cells and have the ability to differentiate into various cell types. The procedure to harvest your own bone marrow stem cells can often be very painful, and umbilical derived stem cells are in abundant supply. Most Drs. that offer stem cell treatment harvest your stem cells from your bone marrow or adipose tissue and then give your old, tired cells back to you. This treatment is often painful, and is a time consuming surgical procedure. In a head to head study, Umbilical Cord Stem Cells(UCST) are more effective in treating injuries and diseases than Bone Marrow or Adipose Stem Cells. UCST are younger, healthier cells and have the ability to differentiate into every tissue type in the human body. Since UCST live for 6-8 months, they signal your own tissue to regenerate/repair over that entire time. That’s why I see improvements in joint pain, heart failure, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Lupus, and many other diseases.
How are stem cells administered? The stem cells are administered via injection or infusion, depending on the health issue being treated, so pain/discomfort is minimal.
Are the umbilical cord stem cells obtained from terminated babies? The stem cells we use come only from LIVE BIRTH babies’ umbilical cords. They are harvested after a baby is born, and sent immediately to the lab for quality testing before they are sent to Dr. Scott for treatments.
Could I have an allergic reaction to the stem cells? Umbilical cord derived stem cells have a lower risk of rejection as they are immunologically immature. This means they are less likely to be recognized as foreign by your immune system, reducing the chances of rejection and increasing the success rate of the treatment. To date there has never been a major adverse event related to treatment with UCSTs. People who have a sulfa allergy will be pre-treated with Benadryl & Tylenol, because the preservative that the stem cells are suspended in is sulfa based. Sulfa allergy is not an absolute contraindication.
I’m an athlete. How can these services help me, whether I have an injury or if I am being preventative? If you have a mild injury, we can help the inflammation with a cryotherapy spot treatment or whole-body cryotherapy treatment. We’ll also take preventative measures during the season to help repair the body as quickly as possible. If you have a bad strain, we can do stem cell therapy to repair the tissue. A surgeon might offer cortisone or narcotics to help ease the pain- but it won’t actually repair the damage that’s been done.
Are stem cells FDA approved? The use of Umbilical Derived Stem Cells has been approved for Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma. Our provider “A Cord For Life” is an FDA approved tissue bank.
